Winter is the coolest season of the year.in temperate climates.The days in this season are shorter and nights are longest.
In this season we have two festival which are very important in our culture ,one of them starts with the emerge of crescent in the sky ,its the largest night in the season .So,people in family get together and spent the whole night together.the best memorable for any Iranian.Family members, threat themselves with watermelon,pomegranate, nuts ,confection .
Another festival in this season is mostly pleasant for youngster !the latest Wednesday in the year.Everyone put on a fire and jump up ,we believe that this convention would bring happiness and luck for everybody in the following year .
Now ,I want to portray these two customs in two different photo .one of them shows that people get to gather at the most popular square in Isfahan (one of the biggest city in Iran) and celebrate the latest Wednesday in the current year .Whit putting up the fire and jump on it while it is snowy .
The another one ,goes for another ceremonies in Iran ,which called Yalda night and very important night ,the largest night in the year .The people treat each other with food , fruit and confection with are rare in the winter like ,watermelon ,pomegranate .In the picture ,i putted watermelon and pomegranate instead of the moon on the sky.And to to portraying the crescent,i dragged the pomegranate like a crescent .Then, i choose the dark background to show the memorable night.

Also ,to depict one of the most popular square in Iran and the relation between custom and old building that shows Iranian culture goes back to hundred and thousand years ago .
